I helped construct the Olympic Site, tell the story of the Greatest Show on earth, and am on site for the Legacy build until 2014.

Andy’s pictures tell a thousand words
Featured today on the SKANSKA Intranet.
Amateur photographer, Andy Wilkes has been chosen from
thousands of hopefuls to help document the run-up to the Olympics in
pictures.
Andy, a document controller with a passion for photography, is one of a
hundred BT London 2012 Storytellers. Over the coming months he will be issued
with various challenges to complete in his spare time. He has already attended a
test event and had his photos published on a dedicated website.
Working on the ODA Lot 1 project, Andy is in an ideal position to document progress of the works, taking photographs of the roads and bridges we are building as well as the major arenas. To assist Andy, Skanska has agreed to sponsor him by helping with some new photography equipment and the loan of a laptop.
Commenting Greg Craig, Managing Director said “This is a great opportunity for Andy to combine some of his time at work with his hobby. I look forward to seeing his photographs of our completed works in use and alongside the major stadiums for this historic event.”
BT is a partner for the London 2012 Olympic Games. In May 2011 the communications giant launched a competition to find members of the public to help chronicle the story of the Olympic and Paralympic Games from one-year-to-go right through to Games-time.
