If you are wondering where East Marsh, Hackney Marshes has gone... It's all under there... And is now the Northern Spectator Transport Mall, or as it's been newly re-named, Eton Manor Transport Hub.

If you're driving from the north this is probably the way in for you and you'll be climbing these stairs to get your first glimpse of the London 2012 Olympic Park.

  1. I remember this has being part of the Eastway development, and use to race around the track every weekend with many other cyclists.

It's amazing to think of the change that's taken place across a formerly run down part of London - we loved it, but nonetheless it was still run down.

I think the investment in this area will live on, this part of London has need a boost for a while, and even though I'm sad to see the old Eastway track go, I'm happy enough for the new investment to be allowed in.

I will be here for the games, and planing to stay in a serviced apartment in London to lessen the need for transport. Regardless of the investment in transport, and places such as this - I still think TFL has a big job on hand.

Anyway, that's my 10 pence. Thanks for the post.
