London 2012 - 2 years to go!
You don't need me to tell you it's now less than 2 years to go until the 2012 Olympics opens in London. Mike King was at the Olympic Park yesterday for the big press junket with Lord Coe, Boris Johnson, a smattering of athletes, small children, construction workers and beteeshirted ladies promoting volunteering at the Games. As well as some awesome shots of the Olympic venues, Mike captured some of the PR cheese and behind the scenery.

2 years until the games begin.
2 years away, not that long when you think about how much you remember about the 2008 Beijing games, and they were only 2 years AGO !
The first picture is the Velodrome and the Basketball Arena as seen from Ruckholt Road, both of these venues will be being used today in a cerimonial type event.
The next picture is me, at work. Right on top of the main Hockey pitches, they are not there yet as our site offices are there at the moment.

Athlete's Village - London 2012 Olympic Site
The Cladding is being added to the Athlete's Village on site and they are now beginning to look like apartments now rather than the shells that they were a few months ago.
